Thank you birds,
Thank you trees,
Thank you flowers,
Thank you bees.
No more signs.
Don’t come near me.
Soon his demons too will fear me.
Love so powerful,
He’s weak.
The attention that he seaks.
He hits high.
I go low.
Dig at the roots and weeds can’t grow.
TODAY WE WENT TO COURT AND…
It was as though the neighbor vomited signs of paranoid schizophrenia all over the courtroom. After three extensions of the temporary retaining order (due to him dodging the sheriffs and everything shutting down for the corona-virus), I was finally able to tell a judge about the harassment that I have been living with since this neighbor dropped a “luxury mobile home” onto the empty lot next to my house a year and a half ago.
Twice the judge asked my neighbor why he posted hate speech related to my lifestyle, he couldn’t answer her question directly either time. Instead he repeated himself, accusing me of throwing a trash can and debris into his yard during a flood and spitting in his face, “I told my wife that filling a restraining order was too good for her, so I was going to take care of her myself.” Insinuating that his hate speech was posted to do exactly what hate speech is used to do, inflict pain. Which is why the judge is making him stop!!! “This prohibition includes the posting of signage with language directed at either party.” Uuuun nah nah nah nah!
Also included in the injunction is that he has to stay 6 feet away from me when we are in our yards (because our houses are so close) and 100 yards away from me in public. No stalking, no threatening, no following, and no HARASSING!!!
Quote of the date came from Mr. Neighbor. In the middle of his 20 minute rant, in response to no question, he proudly exclaimed, “Yes, I put an addition to my fence to make it 9 feet tall and that’s just the beginning! My wife and I don’t want to see her doing all that gay shit.” It felt like everyone in the room jumped. I looked around. Nobody’s masks could hide those expressions. “I wish I was recording this…crazy shit” Was every single person’s thought in that courtroom. Besides my neighbor. Who thought he was winning.
Good things come in threes; I was also verbally offered a solar technician job after interviewing today, and came home to this gorgeous and fitting sign gifted from an angel.
